Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every order you place on coastalcrafting.co.uk. Please read them before ordering. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

1. About us

This website is run by Coastal Crafting, 14 Harboune Ave, Paignton, Devon, TQ4 7DU.

2. Our products

Many of our products are handmade, so colours, sizes and finishes may vary slightly from the photos. Small variations are part of the character of a handmade piece and are not a fault.

Screen settings affect how colours appear, particularly for card stock, vinyl and iron-on transfers.

3. Personalised and made-to-order items

When you order a personalised item, please check names, dates, spellings and any other details carefully before you place the order. We make the item exactly as you enter it and cannot accept returns for errors in details you provided.

Personalised and made-to-order items take longer to prepare. The expected time is shown on the product page and in our delivery information.

4. Placing an order

When you place an order, we send you an email acknowledging it. That email is not an acceptance of your order. The contract between us is formed when we dispatch your order and email you to confirm it has been sent.

We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or has been priced incorrectly. If we do, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and [include VAT where applicable / we are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged]. Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you pay.

Payment is taken when you place your order. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card details.

If we have made an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatching your order to ask whether you want to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

6. Delivery

Delivery options, costs and timescales are set out in our delivery information. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us.

7. Your right to cancel

For most items, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason. This right does not apply to personalised items or items made to your specification. Full details, and how to return an item, are in our returns and refunds policy.

8. Faulty or damaged goods

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including personalised items. Please contact us as soon as possible, with photos if you can, and we will put it right with a repair, replacement or refund.

9. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Your personal information

We use your personal information only as set out in our privacy policy.

11. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather or postal disruption. If this happens, we will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund of anything not yet delivered.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you placed it.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
